behind racism
A documentary short that talks about racism from a scientific perspective to help recognize bias and challenge discrimination.
Ontario Science Centre + CRRF
What if you could better understand how your brain processes information that leads to biases and racism? By recognizing discriminatory thoughts and reactions at their root, we have the opportunity to impact our own behaviours and make real change. This documentary featuring scientists from the Ontario Science Centre and former executive director of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation seeks to discuss racism from this scientific perspective.
While subject matter is illuminating, it’s the people behind this work and their own personal experiences with discrimination that remind viewers why a discussion and exhibition like this is so important.
